Introduction

Gift Card Pro now integrates Shopify’s Fraud and Risk Analysis to help prevent potentially fraudulent gift cards from being sent. With this feature, you can configure safeguards to block gift card issuance based on the fraud risk level of an order.

How to Enable Fraud Prevention

1. Visit the Gift Card Pro Dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Side Menu > Global Settings > General Tab.
3. Scroll down to the Fraud Protection section.
4. Select your desired fraud risk level:
   • Never
   • Medium and High Risk
   • High Risk

Additional Recommendations

We also recommend enabling Enhanced Payment Restrictions for further control over gift card usage at checkout. These features, powered by Shopify’s Payment Customization Function API, allow merchants to define specific conditions to restrict gift card usage, ensuring flexibility and alignment with store policies.
